So. I took today to decompile MOHAAC. P4 used Dotfuscator but the community version of this is not all that useful.

Here are some of the interesting things that I found:

Remote execution of commands through the windows command prompt is built in to the system.

It uploads your entire console, so uh... if you have an rconpassword in there, you may want to... change it.

Quoted from Mohaac Developer himself

Really surprised that this isn't even close.

Dotfuscator was used in the VERY early stages of MOHAAC. Hasn't been used since January and it was only used in the interest of saving time; also it wasn't the community edition.

Remote execution of commands through command prompt means that MOHAAC is somehow executing commands via command prompt on someone else's computer (I think he means local?)... Doesn't make sense for an anti-cheat, right? Because it's nonsense. MOHAAC had one utilization for command prompt, and that was for automating the 'VirtualStore bug' fix.

It does upload your console, but not things you type via in-game chat, so the rcon password will not be shown. Output from rcon will, however, such as the server status. MOHAAC even makes an effort to completely clear uploaded material of rcon passwords, such as if you have it binded in your config.

I'm not really sure if this is an attempt to say that MOHAAC is illegitimate (all of that behavior, even if it was true, is far from hinting illegitimate behavior), but if it is, MOHAAC is way past the point of proving its legitimacy. Over 1,000 users and being adopted as the anti-cheat for Clanbase as well as other European, Brazilian, German and Polish leagues

Also there's about 100 security vulnerabilities in the version of MOHAAC he analyzed and it's pretty disappointing that he caught one that was put there for a user's convenience and the others he suggested are just flat out false.

Anybody surprised that natural91, who's been banned from UAC 3 times in a row, feels the need to defend MOHAAC?

Please do not post hackusations.

If you all want to discuss the merits of different AC Programs or ask questions that is fine.
