Interesting Observation. The best Players currently playing the game, are all of the best p[layers that were playing t2 up until a few weeks ago irnoically yet.I have yet to see either of you in game, but ive seen plenty of other TV guys and they were doing fine, but not dominating in any way shape or form.
On a side note, many of those same people went to TV when it released and dominated that game also until the patch was canceled and the realized the game had no future and they either left tribes or went back to T2.
Common Sense would dicatate that you should be suprised when T1 Vets rocked T2, and T2 Vets rocked TV and T1,2 and V vets (lol) are currently rocking TA.

That's actually the funnest game mode. So funny to see basically everyone that plays rabbit in the jumper class, whatever that one with the boost pack is, and yet fail to beat a simple soldier like me.
I don't even rabbit, i just juke people. Break their ankles...err... mouses. The air control is too high in this game, coupled with barely any fall damage and they think im going one way i just easily fall backwards and ski the other way. Then make doughnuts skiing on the terrain.

Good one sev... never thought about that but been complaining about it subconsciously all the time. Energy recharge is way too slow.
And whats with the random amount of health points we have? 1600 health or something why cant you just use 100 for a medium and have spin do like 55 damage.

common sense should tell u that there's miniscule difference between the feel of T:V and T:A, whereas with either t2 or t1, there is not.
that is why no matter how easy it is for a t2 player to adjust to T:V , T:V players, by logic, already have adjusted to themselves and will thus always be one step ahead of the game in T:A

Rabbit is the only game mode available. Yeah, there's something called CTF, but it's just rabbit without rabbit scoring.

Personally, I would say rabbiting is ALOT harder on here than it was in T:V or even T2. The maps are a fair amount smaller than T1 or T2, you get punished severely for not using a route or cratering cause you need to be humming along at at least 160 or even heavies can catch you rather easily, the alternative to the chain gun is hit scan AND does insta-kill head shots, you can't heal while holding the flag, and there's a TON of other hitscan weapons now that can really screw you over for not staying low enough to the ground. In all honesty, if you don't have a few people killing chasers and defending you, it's likely to be a very short possession. If I had to choose between ease of rabbiting between T:V and T:A, I would definitely choose the one with grappler.
If you're lasting the whole round rabbiting, chances are you're in a pretty green server.

If we're going to be this technical about things,.. it was the t1 vets that rocked t2, that later rocked T:V, that are rocking T:A. Skill originated with T1, not T2.
But to be fair.. the vast majority of players I've seen from T:V always manage to be in the higher echelon of points. While most T1 and T2 vets in the lower point scales are often complaining about how much better the game (and ultimately they) would be if the game was completely different. So I guess you could say that mentality also originated with T1.
Also, mind, I'm still looking for that link. It exists! I promise!

Another patch was released today, just 5 days after the last one. I think its made things better, much better is some aspects. The class system is here to stay IMO. Its not a big deal imo. Making tweaks to the weapons and physics/jets/movement is far more important to me, and so far things are moving in the right directions. Ive only had it 5 days but I alreay have 15K tokens to unlock a class. Plus...you can test out every class, even locked ones, in training maps. Chances are there will only be a handfull of classes you will want to play anyways.
The $30 VIP package is worth it for me. you already get two classes unlocked, Soldier and Ranger. They reduces the cost of two of them, so now with the VIP package you can unlock 5-6 more.
