what is the obsession with "fixing" flagstand lips (damnation, woodymyrk)? they seemed to play fine with the lips until this year...

the fixes to flag stands are great. Perfect clear... good route...stubbed toe..? thats not what we want.
You could practice the routes to where your % of stubbing toe on damnation went down. But it still happened some times.
GOod imporvement.

and yeah, apparently Tribes 2 doesn't like making spawn spheres for huge interiors... so unless I can find a way to jerryrig this thing, the half pipe map will likely not make it into the pack. For shame, its a lot of fun to ski around in...

New update fellas. Map dev time is winding down, likely only a couple of updates left to do. Rayne wants maps by July 15th, so the final map pack should be out by then.

Updates:
Reynard
- Studs taken off the top of the flagstand.
- Increased size of flagstand.
- Made flagstand concave as opposed to convex.
- Pulse Sensor and Motion Sensor added to the bridge.
Misadventure
- Emergency lighting brightened.
- Normal lighting brightened.
Hawking Heat
- High frequency details added to terrain.
- Terrain adjusted and smoothed to prevent deadstops.
- Floating inventory station on inferno side fixed.
- Emergency lighting of based brightened a bit.
- Sides of the access holes into the gen rooms have been cut down a bit to aide HO in getting in and out of base.
- Added waypoints for the "Dawn" and "Dusk" bunkers.
- Several large trees and rocks added (mirrored) to break up routes.
- "Tuning Fork" arms have been flipped vertically to help with HOF/LOF visibility.
Centaur
- Base and underground relit.
Hopefully a new map pickup happens soon! We want to keep the ball rolling, the deadline is approaching fast!

Can you migrate the S3 maps into the S5 maps pack? It would be easier to link just one pack for the new players.
(assuming S3-WoodyMyrk and S3-Damnation and others will still be in the pool)

Yup- that is the plan Heat. (WoodyMyrk only existed in S5 though) but there are plans to migrate the rest of the S3 maps to S5, since S5 is intended to replace S3.
If bubbletrout would only get his act together... **cough cough**

So a few things- looks like we're going to be able to get a few other maps from S3 into the S5 pack, including S3-Damnation and S3-Sherman.
Anthem is working on one more map, and so am I... hopefully all of these will be available for the next update (so stay tuned).
My new map is a reincarnation of the "Spiridian" map from Tribes Vengeance- only bigger, and made to fit Tribes 2 classic. I've dubbed it "Super 5piridian" and am still currently blocking it out. But you can see my thought process, plus a quick video of be skiing through it, here:

I guess thats why ip is legal you could practice all day but now who needs to.
Maybe we should make HM2 legal that way you dont have to look around hills.
why dont we just let cockster make bots and maps for the tourny, we could have the draft on sunday and find out the following sunday who won.

So why like 50 million new maps? How about like 3-5 at a time let the community (the little of us left) test them for a few weeks/months before throwing them into a tournament? Seems rushed. I understand getting new maps but its like everyone that is made recently is just being thrown in..... ______________________________________________________________________________________

There are 9 maps in the wip 6 pack. Of those 5 are newer(haven't been played in comp), the other 4 are maps with fixes. People have been playing these maps since may, or 2 months ago.
In short, Learn 2 Count.

I cant take down defense=spam is legal
I cant waypoint ppl= several ppl i know use a auto waypoint that is legal bcus it does it in the cc and you dont have to click on each player but doesnt do it when you join the game
and dont get me started on the fag scripts that shrikers use
