i don't know.. i'd rather somebody play because they like the game and not because they want attention

Oh! Ok. I'll google harder.  Is there a time that I'm supposed to chat on there, or will new seasons be announced on here? Also, I still don't really know what I'm talking about when it comes to seasons, teams, etc, how to join teams? Do they ask you? Do you just join a game? How do seasons work? btw, HeXy, I don't think I'm a troll. I just have no clue about any of this, and 70% of the posts on here are useless. Not many people are serious it seems like. D:

I wrote a short guide on the Chatzilla IRC client here on the goon haven forum:

It has links to the official tutorials and all that good stuff, it's not hard once you know what the /server and /join commands do and how to use them. This is only for firefox. Before firefox got all big and friendly with everybody I used to use mIRC:

There's a smiley face in the logo so maybe it's more user friendly. Honestly I can't even remember how easy it is to use. These are all free, there is no reason anyone should have to pay for IRC, I didn't even know that existed.
The server you want to connect to is "irc.tribalwar.com" and the channel in that server is "tourney"
There is some scripts you can get for tribes 2 I believe you can use IRC in-game with if you want, you can get them by going here and typing IRC into the box, that should bring up a few of them:

I don't think it's required to have IRC in game for these tourneys though. If you still haven't got it down or need help with some other IRC client just say so and I'll help you figure it out.
As for the tourney I'm sure it will be easy to figure out as you go, your team members will more than likely help you out and explain things. I'm not positive about the tourney myself but someone will pick you for a team I guess and when you get into a game the whoever the leader is will probably try and give everyone different stuff to do. Just tell them what you are good at.
There is also pickup matches sometimes on tuesdays, thursdays and sundays in the evenings (around 8-9:00PM EST right?) on a server called "Branzone", it's right in there with goon haven so it should be easy to find. Usually anthem comes into goon haven and announces when it starts, just look for the server with a bunch of assholes in it. You might be able to get an idea of what the tourney will be like from this, I think you have to download a mappack for it though because there is new maps and buildings, whatnot. No, that is gone now unless there is a massive influx of people fed up from playing that money scheme called T:A. Nobody plays good games anymore, just crappy ones with pretty colors and a monthly fee that mom and dad will happily pay for some alone time. World of warcraft ruined everything across multiple genres.
