Tags for Season 4 are much the same process as the tags for Season 1 to Season 3.
If you installed the client side vl2 script in Season 1, 2, or 3 you do not need to download it again -- it hasn't changed.
Captains: If I haven't yet already, I will send you a list of one-time team-join tickets for you to distribute to the members of your team.
Players:
1) Download and install (into gamedata/base) the tag certificate downloader script from: http://thyth.com/tn/tournamentNetClient.zip
2) Get a join ticket from your captain.
3) Join the server named "Draft League S4 Tags" (with the 31337 Mhz CPU speed), and type (without quotes) "/join YourTicket" into global chat.
4) Restart your game to make sure you get a fresh certificate.
Note: you can only perform this on TribesNext accounts that have been made before as of the afternoon of April 17th. I still haven't completed the synchronization between account server and browser systems yet.
If you try to use an account that is too new, the server will say so, and you can try again on an older account with the same ticket.
I should be launching the browser/mail containing patch sometime during the tournament. Once it's launched, captains will be able to do additional management (e.g. handling additional invites via tmail, changing the tag, etc.) of the clans without requiring my assistance.

Make sure the account server shows up as "online" in the account creation UI. The error message in RC2 TribesNext when downloading account certs produces the same error regardless of the reason for failure (yet another thing I'll have fixed in the next patch). There are still some reliability issues with the TribesNext webhosting, which can cause the account server lookup to fail.
If you can reach the account server and it is rejecting the download request, the only thing that I can suggest is being absolutely sure the password you're entering is correct.
