I did a ton of research before I bought my TV. I bought my TV back when LED tv's were JUST being introduced. I wasn't prepared to pay 4x as much as the Plasma at the time. Even now when I do research I read that LED still have some of the same problems as LCD have. When I watch TV or movies on LED tv's its just not the same as my Plasma. My wife always asks me why other peoples TV's look so weird (studdering or soap opera looking) and ours looks so badass. It's because it's Plasma.

play t2 or anything on a plasma and it's like going back to a smooth crt. not always practical and plasma has burn in with static images (small but noticeable), when you switch back to lcd you easily notice the difference and appreciate plasma. also plasma superior for 3d.

i have the PN50C7000 http://www.samsung.com/us/video/tvs/PN50C7000YFXZA

Bran were you the guy on irc that was mad at some best buy/fry's guy for trying to get you to buy expensive monster HDMI cables? You wanted the cheapest ones available cuz "digital is digital"? Or was that someone else?

the soap opera look he was referring to is the frame interpolation algorithms many LCD tvs use to make it look like 120/240/480hz. it's really pretty gimicky and can be turned off most tvs. (also can be enabled on some plasmas)

I had a 40" LCD LED (sidelit) Samsung and returned it for the plasma. Only advantage LCD has is brightness and as a computer monitor, it's a little sharper and will never burn in.

I don't want to "upset" you any further, but in a medium to low light environment plasmas are still better at black levels, contrast ratio (actual not relative), viewing angle and picture uniformity. Most movie buffs feel their picture also has a more organic look that is pleasing.

I have a bright room in my upstairs so I got a Samsung LED for that space and it's quite nice. The plasma still stomps it though.

http://monoprice.com/

These cables have the same performance without having to pay for a marketing/kick back machine. $3.50 for a 6' HDMI cable.

Well I remember having a conversation about that so it was probably me. I have a less than $10 HDMI cable that handles true blu-ray 24fps movies with no problem.

Edit: Yeah the guy at fry's that gave me a 2 minute speech about the monster cables for $75. I remember.

No doubt.

Cant beat High End Plasma (Samsung 51" 6500D) with $7 HDMI Cables that process identical to $75 cables.
