I'd say it's still there. Even the ETL Cancer Cup, played on NA servers in '09, had the euro teams beating the NA teams comfortably as I recall. With large portions of the NA ET players having gone inactive when league support dropped with ETL, I don't see that having changed too much.

As I said prior to opening either league or ladder,
if we open with a league, it would make the teams active,
if we open with a ladder, people will sign up and not be active.
If you try opening a league now, it will now not work, because expectations will be based on what happened with the ladder. Perception will be founded on the failed ladder attempt.

hey sparks (whoever you are), your clueless rampage does nothing at all. please explain the logic of "weekly matches will make everyone active" as compared to, "we can play whenever we want". This ladder is more active than the 4+ failed leagues over the past few years.
There are 5 teams MAX in all of NA, which ive stated multiple times. Not sure what you really expect.

Getting married, having 2 kids, working on my career, etc. Working hard and turning into an old man!
Now it's time to get a few hobbies back! Always enjoyed playing ET and it's free, so I thought that might be a fun place to start. Glad to see a few people at least are still around.
