So whenever the announcer says something eg,they have repaired the tank, flag caps, dyno etc. I jump from my normal ping to 600+/lag out for a few seconds. Has anyone else encountered this issue? Makes the game unplayable.

You can delete it. I just reinstalled the entire game.
