So I like many others people play COD4 on a macintosh computer. I have been playing in TWL matches for a couple years now. Now TWL is going with UAC and it does not work with macintosh computers. So am I and other macintosh users being punished for playing on a mac? I must say I am a little frustrated at what looks like me not being able to play TWL now. Are there any other options available? Did any thought of this go into the process of deciding to use UAC?
Any help would be appreciated!

I am assuming your team was the one that e-mailed me about this.
I forwarded this question to AC to look into it and after some research this is what they found.

Any plans to port UAC for Macs?

sure, but only on Windows

Sorry, we have no plans to port for mac's or linux.
I assume this means if they are running Windows, UAC will work.

Can I really run Windows applications on my Mac?
Yes, you can. Since Apple’s transition to Intel processors in 2006, Windows applications run beautifully on the Mac. Every currently shipping Mac qualifies, but older Macs may not. Please check your system profile in About This Mac to ensure what you need to run Windows.
To run Windows applications, do I have to run the Windows operating system?
Yes, you do. Basically, there are two ways to run Windows on your Mac:
Boot into Windows at startup. This dedicates 100% of the processor power to Windows and Windows applications. You can’t use Mac OS X again until you restart.
Use virtualization software, which lets you run Mac OS X and Windows side by side. You can switch between them as easily as you’d switch between Mac applications.
But you can’t run Windows without Windows—you’ll need to acquire your own copy of either Windows XP or Windows Vista to use either solution."
You are the first person to say something about using a MAC. This has never come up in the 4-5 months we have been using UAC up until now so naturally it has not been a problem.
I am not aware of any one else using MAC to play COD. But I guess it is possible, just the first time it has been brought up.

This is not something we decided to do over night.
The AC team thoroughly researched UAC 3 and this is a site wide anti cheat being implemented across all the games a little at a time.
Like I said, this is the first I am hearing of anyone having a Mac and not being able to play.
You are the first and the one thus far. I am sorry that it is not compatible on your Mac, but this is something TWL is requiring as an anti cheat now.

You can run windows apps on MAC, so your still arguing... Check this again..
You can run windows programs on MAC. So that means you can run UAC if u boot up the option to run Windows programs stated by Streetz.
If you dont want to, THEN DONT PLAY. Your copy of cod4 will still work on the transition because ur still in MAC's OS.
Also as i recall cod4 is PC/MAC compatable.
Find ways to throw a fit idc.. Its w/e UAC3 is a good idea to prevent cheating.
UAC3 is good news. Don't get butt hurt over this.
