And this is why I haven't been playing much lately...
About screenshots, me for every time I play the game, I need to go to my desktop and change the priority of the game to high from low so that I can get the game to sum-what play normally on my older computer.
If you think for a minute I'm gonna stay in a game to produce clean screenshots, over being able to actually play, you best be giving your head a shake.
Honestly, if you need to hack a free game, go right ahead. In the past, we've beat teams that had hackers on the roster and sometimes we lost, ( those nights the hacks really stood out too, we even had a monitored match and the person monitoring, couldn't see the hacks being used. So it doesn't matter)
Just play the game, stop the bloody complaining. Most of the time I see people complaining about stuff like this repeatedly, they themselves are not clean.. Just how life tends to work. Its like the guy that bashes gay people, but gets caught dropping the soap..

All this can be checked during a discard round and should take less than 1 minute to do this. Perhaps a couple minutes for the slower people. It's one more thing to put in the tool bag.
lol changing your priority is to much work? I thought I remembered a few threads that showed no love for people that couldnt get aa3 to work properly. There was a lot of hate towards the aa2 players because they couldnt get the game to work. Now the mighty M2 cannot get the game to work correctly? Say it isn't so...
Nooz about the link to fix hardware issues. I'm not sure but I would assume there should be some info on the official aa forums.

We are already talking about rules changes internally. I think we can do it soon without big troubles during matches.
I remember a few tips about Black SS.
"Dont use alt tab after game launched."
"People who use Nvidia Video Cards need to put Negative Lod Bias in Clamp (not in Allow)on the 3D configs."
"Keep your VC always updated with the last drive released (for some ppl only the original drive works)."
That is what I remember.
I'm using one GTX 580, i'm always updating my VC drive and my negative lod bias is always on clamp. Long time i have no problems with black SS, but if I need to minimize (alt tab/ ctrl esc) my SS become black and only fix if I close the game and re-open after.

I run nVidia and default install's across the board yeild valid screenshots. Alt-tabbing is the big no no. This has been common knowledge for a long time. Sometimes it recovers and most of the time requires a restart of aa3.

Let me see, on 4v4 it takes ~5 minutes to take screenshots from all players.
If a team player gonna check it she/he use alt+tab to check those pictures and that could cause black screenshots.
The point is that there are lot of checkings to do
> server settings
> streaming
> opponent's roster
> players screenshots
I think that we need at least 5 minutes (2v2), 6 minutes (4v4) and 10 minutes (6v6) check time for screenshots and after that match can be started.
And keep it mind
> that discardround system do not work on VIP mode
> servers that do not allow access to all screenshots are forbidden like i3D.net
> screenshot folder access has to be available only for hosting company
I'm not saying that this could be done but still it brings more work what you have to check under the match.

Said actions above could be taken care of with a program and/or website. Remember steam does have a built in web browser that can be used instead of alt-tabbing. Point me in the right direction and I would be glad to help make a program.

Export players registered GUID's from your database and/or just be able to populate variables with said data. The way CDC did it, didn't it display an overlay of valid players on the roster?

Before the first LIVE round.
The first live round must begin no later than 10 minutes after the scheduled match time. Teams are encouraged to show sportmanship if the other team is late, but are not required to do so. For the live play to begin, both teams must have atleast the minimum amount of players on the server what is required by the ladder specific rules. If either teams fails to do this in the 10 minute deadline, they are to report a forfeit loss if the other team does not agree to a reschedule. When players join the server, they are NOT to pick their side until both teams have all players on the server and are ready to start LIVE play.
After joining your team the squad leaders is to summit a "RequestDiscardRound" in your console after you have picked your weapons.
RequestDiscardRound:
Teams must have the squad leader spot picked. Failing to have a player that can summit the Request a Discard Round will cost you the match by forfeit.
•RequestDiscardRound command must only be used during the battle planner*
•Requires both squad leaders to execute command
•Will affect next round after it is issued. or round players are about to deploy to if done during battle planning.
•Discarded rounds will disable all statistics and scoring as well as weapon damage
*NOTE: RequestDiscardRound is not to be submitted during the 3rd or 6th round or before weapon selection or before the battle planner is shown.
During the setup round, the teams are to verify the following:
•All opposing players are on the opponent's roster and are eligible for the match.
•Server is running the required TWL PB Scripts and is streaming.
•The server is set to the proper map.
•The server is set to the proper game type.
Teams failing to perform the checks above forfeit their right to dispute over them once the match goes live
As there are multiple server settings what can not be verified, ultimately the team providing the server is responsible that the server is configured according the rules of TWL. A wrong configuration might lead the team providing the server automaticly loosing the match.

I get having black ss sometimes...it happens to me, it happens to everyone. I mean the way i have my keyboard controls mapped, I alt-tab more often than I would like. cuz my teamspeak button is left alt and my ready (up/down) stance toggle is left tab. sometimes i am talking and get surprised hit the tab and end up on my desktop. of course i am dead by the time i switch back.
as an aa3 server admin, i do however find that black ss cause me to wonder if someone is legit or not (though this isnt the only factor I use to determine such things). but there are different types of black ss. ones that Take the ss and are black...and ones that are black because pbss couldnt even take a ss. When the SS Failed, those are the ones i look out for.
I understand hardware can be an issue as well, but to be honest i couldnt name anyone that plays aa3 exceedingly well, and has hardware issues that cause them black ss. do any of you?
i mean....most of us who want to make black ss matter is because we all enjoy aa3 and even enjoy losing a TWL if the match was good enough....well maybe not kerupt...
i've played this game a long time, i can literally tell if someone is macrofiring, mousewheel or a buddy killed be by the sound of thier weapon in-game.
and to feel/sense that someone is playing unfairly (especially in TWL match) and to have no way to prove it or explain it reasonably, sucks. and really kills this awesome game for me. personally.
to lose to someone who has clean ss makes me want to play better.
to lose to someone who has black ss makes me want to uninstall sometimes. cuz if we cant catch the hackers or disprove accusations...whats the point.
(I stopped playing for 7months because i was accused of hacking, i got banned from all my favorite servers, and the only reason i got banned was because i couldnt prove that i wasnt hacking, though they couldnt prove i was.)
My ss have always been clean and i can make them clean by reconnecting if i alt tab. it takes 2 min. i dont see why that would be such a big demand on players in Tournament Matches.
hopefully we can make black ss matter, when it should.

As I said all can be done but I think that with current tools what we have on TeamWarfare it will give us more problems and takes all fun away from playing.

^^ No... people getting away with cheating in matches and not being punished for it... THAT is what takes all the fun away from playing. If you can't produce one single good SS during a match, it should be disputed. Plain and simple. I don't understand what is so cosmic about all of this.

if u hit alt + enter first this puts aa intyo window mode then alt tab u screen shots will keep valid. you just have to remember to alt enter first

i would have to be with slyk1 on this one, as for taking the fun out for teamwarfare, isnt that what you signed up for is policing the policies and guidlines of the twl rules.
hell maybe it would be nice to start to see a TWL nuetral admin to sit in spec and watch a match. wait they dont have the time.
with no time and limited resources its hard we understand that. but i know for a fact that serveral people have applied to try and get to be an assistant admin for aa3 and what they where told is well right now where just not taking any help.
if the time issue is the the problem get more admins and let them help.

as for ss issues with nvidia cards, i run a gtx 560, i even alt-tab, i believe to my knowledge i have had 1 blck ss and then it correts it. sometimes i dont even get that i have had ss taken of my desktop. i dont have thee issue with hardware.
the facts remain, black ss ruin the match for the teams, and im not taliing 1 or 2 screens im talking all ss are black and you know something is up with one of the players. twl needs to set a boundry on black ss, the discard round ussally only gives one ss, hell after the discard round if they know that there hardware will mess that up they alt-tab. and get black ss, i have seen this one or two are good rest are black. not sayin g they are cheating but as sevor said its hard to prove or disprove.
in my clan there has been talk about perm banning any player that has black ss that they dont fix. this would cause teams to be short on players because we would not unban for the match. unless they only had 4 members on the roaster and then and only then would we allow them to play with valid shots only. so far this is talk that we may implament.
if twl takes care of this matter by getting something in place it would make the game fun again
please TWL staff impliment something for black ss during matches and tourniments

That's fine for pub servers but you cannot exclude active people on the roster without a valid reason according to twl.

Teamwarfare can not enforce any blank screenshot as the game does not have a substantial Anti-Cheat program. We should start a discussion about a Anti-Cheat program for America's Army 3.

The game runs fine if your are running a quad core, the 'developers' made the game run in Low Priority. Anything with a Duo Core should be run on "high priority". Has nothing to do with installing and running the game. Like the AA2 trolls that couldn't even get the game to install... Get your facts straight before spouting off.
I set the priority to High to ensure I don't get screen lag.
Yes, I said before, countless times, my pc is 5 years old now and other then changing the priority, the game, installs and plays like it should.
There was another post on how to get to your desktop by hitting alt+enter and then alt+tab and thus far it seems to work just fine.

Black screens are going to happen, you can accept it or bitch about it forever and blame those screens on your lack of skill or drive to win. Either way I see it like this, I have had black SS's and I run legit 100%, Everybody has those shots that unbelievable from time to time and some people are just that good. Very few players actually use cheat programs and they eventually get caught. So if it's a consistent black SS then spectate them, don't make accusations based on one little hiccup in AA.
