I have opened the 1v1 Armor Ladder for signups. The rules should be up shortly. I got home late last night and didn't want to mess with the coding.
It will play first to 7 Rounds Won. Play 3 Rounds, switch sides, until 1 player gets 7 Kills (Rounds Won). SixShotSean

I know you haven't posted anything about this ladder yet, but it seems that the rosters are limited to only 1 player? I think the rosters should allow at least 5 people for signups for this.

Hi, The only problem with only allowing 1 person to be on the roster is that only the founder can join a ladder. I would like to be on the ladder but as I'm not a founder and as soon as my founder leaves the ladder we withdraw. You allow 5 people to join the 2v2 chopper so why not allow 2 or more to join the armor ladder?

Create your own team. For example I have my own team for playing on 1v1 ladders that is all I have ever done with it. You can name it after your current clan like "Warriors Clan Armor #2" for example. SixShotSean

This is what I was trying to say. I will have any of my team members create their own team if they want to play in this Ladder then. Thanks for clarifying.

Marine sign up now and it will get the ladder going because if nobody shows support for it and signs up the ladder could be shut down.

The Ladder is now open for challenges.
Rules are in the BF3 Ladder Rules Section, expand for details. SixShotSean

Thanks to all the teams competing.
I had an issue brought up from a match that needed clarification (lack of explanation in the rules on my part).
Under "How you win" in the rules, the following has been added:
A round consists of a kill by a team, whether it's a vehicle destroy or player kill due to being outside the tank repairing.
The term "round" was brought over from the BF2 armor ladder. We use "round" instead of "kill" so that if the winner of a fight wishes to suicide to get back to their base for a fresh tank quicker, they may do so. Their death wouldn't count as a point because that "round" is over.
I hope this eliminates any confusion and if there are any other issues with the ladder, please bring them up.

In my match with BACKBONE our first round was a tie and how it happened was I destroyed him but seconds later my tank was on fire and blew up before I can repair it. There was an issue in BF2 about what is a tie because the rules was the player making the first kill within seconds of both tanks destroyed is a point for 1 team (player making the first register kill) not a tie. But that was cleared by a rule made and it was the "15 seconds" rule. How it went in BF2 is, in a "Double K.O." the winning tank must keep their tank and themselves alive for "15 seconds" before the round ends. This was to make the winner obvious because in a "Double Kill" BF2 did not register kills as a tie therefor a tie was not officially generated by BF2 engine so technically it was not clear since we relied on BF2 registry. BF3 also does not register tie kills as "Double K.O.". I think the BF2 2v2 Armor ladder rule such as the "15 Seconds" rule should be added to the BF3 1v1 Armor Ladder. I know this rule because it was my keen sense that brought this up to TWL Admins to make a rule clearing up "Double K.O." points in matches.

Good point.
Is everyone participating in this ladder okay with a 15 second rule? Or do we leave it at first kill posted gets the point?
Thoughts?

I think you are forgetting the point. It was already a rule in BF2 perfectly made by TWL Admins (or whoever writes rules) and it worked to clear up any problems because there was problems already in BF2 and BF3 no different in this situation. It shouldn't be a question for the competitors but good rule made by TWL. I think you should take it as that and it should be good to go for BF3 since both BF2 and BF3 do not register "Double K.O." kills ingame.

If you inflict damage that destroys the tank you should get the kill.

I am more in favor of whoever BF3 registers first gets the kill (round win). I believe that is more than fair. SixShotSean

I agree. This is the only time the issue has come up, but "first kill on the log" wins keeps it simple.
