And if there was a more legit competition player I could not think of one. Buck is a very special player and one of the best tankers I have ever seen. And what is truly great about him is that he wont let his tank get stolen and restart the server....oh that was kind of a shot.
And if Nexus didnt suck up every good player they might have competition, but who really wants to man up in video games, it is much easier to be a cheerleader rather than putting together a new team to compete.

I've dealt with this claim many times in recent weeks, but I'll do it again.
To keep it brief, we never recruit more than we need. That is how I have run Nexus' BF3 division and that's the way it will always be. We have two teams (Nexus.BF3 and Nexus.RAGE) who each have 5 on their rosters, no more (actually, with the summer, many of those have gone inactive as well).
We did not 'suck up' good players to make a 2nd team, but I did sponsor nXs-Reck's separate 4v4 team to give Nexus.BF3 a good scrim partner.
As for replacing talented players with other talented players, what would you have us do? Recruit from the Battlelog forums?
