I see that some teams want to change maps via coms.

In league, teams are not allowed to play on different maps then the one assigned or the match will be null.

We assign league maps for a reason and expect teams to stick to it. Thx

Scheduling:

  • Matches are created each week, using a Swiss Scheduling system, this ensures that top ranked teams play each week.

  • Matches will be posted no more than (2) days following the previous week being completed.

  • Pre-Season play is encouraged, but not required. Rankings after Pre-Season carry over into Week 1 of Regular Season, records are cleared.

  • New Teams may be added until the night of the Week 2 match. After Week 2, teams will only be added to facilitate an even number of competing teams. However, there will be no make-up matches allowed for late joining teams.

  • Rosters will lock following the Week 6 Match. No new members may be added after Week 6. Rosters do NOT unlock between regular season and playoffs.

  • In the event there is an odd number of active teams in the league the team with the lowest points total, who has not yet received a bye, will have a bye week. We will strive our utmost to make sure this doesn’t happen.

  • There will be a 1 week break after the conclusion of the Regular Season. The Size and/or Number of playoff Brackets will be determined as the season progresses. Map List and Playoff Schedule will be announced during the BYE week.

Server and Side Selection:

  • Both teams need to post Server IP as soon as possible. Being home or visiting team has no obligation to "provide a server or forfeit".

  • The higher ranked team is considered the Home team for any League match.

  • Home team will have server choice or can defer server choice for round 1 side selection.

    • if Home defers for side choice, and for some reason the other team has a server issue and the match must be moved to Home teams listed server, Home team retains Round 1 side choice.

    • if no team has a legit server to play in, the match will be killed and no point awared.

  • Home team must announce in match comms at least 48 hours before match if they want server selection, or instead want side choice. They must give side/server they choose at this time also. If they fail to say anything, they waive the right to defer server for side.

Match Comms:

  • Teams may agree to change the following in Match Comms:

    • Match Time

    • Match Date (match MUST be played no later than 1 day following assigned date, but can be played anytime before assigned date)

    • Assigned Map (only during regular season)

  • Any changes MUST be agreed by BOTH teams in comms. If agreement does not appear in Comms, it will not be recognized by any admin.

Requirements:

  • Theater Mode is required for all players including preseason. If you cant/wont turn on theater mode, you are not legal to play the match and it could result in your team being removed from the league. UAC 3 is also required, Teams may generate the ID by using the following format MW3Season1(Team A Tag) vs (Team B Tag)

    Example: MW3Season1AvsB

  • Players are required to have both a Steam Community ID (SCID), SteamID and UAC ID listed in their profile. The SCID must be in Numerical form. No custom url’s will be accepted.

  • Players must be on roster by the day before match with a proper SCID and SteamID to play.

  • No player can play on 2 different teams, in the same league, at the same time, for any reason.

  • You can leave 1 team to go to another, but you can't then go back to your original team. See Smurfing Rule

  • If your match is to be casted, you can't refuse, and we will facilitate getting the casters whatever they need to have a successful cast.

Ranking System:

  • After the match finishes, the Winning Team should post the final score in Match Comms, or submit a dispute, if warranted.

  • The Losing Team, then, either reports the score (confirming what was posted), or submits a dispute, if warranted.

  • If a match goes into OT, do NOT report the match, just post in match comms, Team X won in OT so we can report it properly.

  • Winning A Match = 5 Points

  • Losing A Match = 2 Points

  • No Show:
    • The 'winning' Team is awarded 5 Points and 12 Rounds Won (For SD League), 5 Points and 7 Rounds Won (For CTF League).

    • The 'losing' Team is removed from the league. Once removed, this team is allowed one reinstatement, only if a request is sent to an admin.

I kind of like having to play a map thats not an ordinary scrim map for TWL because its not popular, you have to practice it with your team and learn the callouts.

I dont know about you guys, but I have never played underground in a scrim until this week when I saw it was the league's map.

Personally the map is confusing to me, 800 subway trains and shit.

However, I like a map that is almost never played for the TWL weekly match.

What is the point of having lockdown and hardhat the TWL maps? You play them all the time on regular scrims, so it would be exactly like a regular scrim + UAC.

Most of you might find underground or even last week's bootleg maps 'BAD'. But thats the point of TWL - to play uncommon and common maps together to fully test your team against other ones.

thats funny, bulleteater has a very good point, and to me, you can't change a rule over halfway thru the season.. if that was in the rules, then it should be valid, and teams should be allowed to change the map, if both agree in comms. I remember this point being brought up over a month ago also.

This could have been approached more calmly lol. Streetz doesnt get paid to do what he does for twl, and puts in quite a bit of his own time to set up the ladders and leagues. Be grateful streetz is trying

the map is not that bad. both sites are easily accessible on A and D, which is not that common in this game.

I personally dont have any issue with playing Underground...its definatly far from my favorite map, I actually dont like it all that much, but no matter what 8 maps they selected there will be a couple I dont like all that much so if thats the week's map I dont mind playing it.

I also think that it makes sense for all of the teams to have to play the same map without changing it because when it comes to playoff seeding some teams changing the map some weeks can throw off the balance and fairness of the standings.

However, that being said, I can see plainly that the rules do in fact state that regular season maps can be changed if both teams agree in match comms and I think changing rules mid season is bad practice so I have to agree with bulleteater that there is no reason they should not be able to change the map.

If people don;t like the map, before the season starts when I put up the overview weeks before the season starts people should say something, but you never do, instead everyone waits until the week of the map they don't like and then they want to complain about how TWL admins are bad and horrible map choices..

I change up the maps every season, not everyone wants to play the same map every single season and there will be weeks that you actually have to learn a map and be decent at it. The whole point is to be challenged and give your team a challenge... How much fun could it be to play the same maps over and over..

The problem isn't that we want to change the maps, its that the rules say we can and you wait till now to tell us we cant.

Actually I remember this map and mission both being complained about before the season started, there were no polls or anything...in fact im pretty sure Theory and you went rounds about it, lol....

But doesnt matter, that map list is set now, the rules state he can change the map this week although you apparently are changing them for next week (I agree with the rule change actually but you shouldnt be doing it mid-season)
