sand map (tho it looks just like snow O_o ) large midfield tower. dome over flagstands. smallish in size...

fairly shallow as far as gameplay goes. but i really dont mind it much.

Sunstar is my favorite map... what's wrong with it? I think it brings a different type of gameplan, which is refreshing at times. I think we need more maps being played, last FPSGeneral tournament all anyone played was Arx and Crossfire.

The Hi-Rez designers are incompetent fools. The HR mappers are a special subset of incompetent fools. I'll bet that if they took the best tribes maps, and updated them - say, Katabatic - they would righteously fuck it up, because they aren't really sure which end the food goes in and the crap goes out.
O wait. My bad. They already did that to Katabatic.

Stonehenge b2f is just annoying, and cross map sniping to prevalent. Map is not ready for comp yet imho. As for Sunstar, I used to hate the map till people started figuring out how to play it. Now it's fun just for offering something slightly different and the fact that b2f require flag passing or gens down and really good clear.

I just know that when we draw sunstar we just agree with the other team to play diffrent maps instead lol might aswell put a map in that people will agree to play.

Stonehenge IS definately going to be played in comp much more then Sunstar ever will. Why not start now?

Honestly, I like Sunstar. It's a good change of pace from the other maps. Yes, it can lead to some low scoring games and some huge problems for the O, but when played right, eeking out a one point victory on that map can be a really satisfying experience. I hope it stays in rotation just for varieties sake. That said, the casting of that map is difficult, and casters, if they want to make watching it interesting, must use camerawork and explanation that differs pretty considerably from other maps. If they don't watching it is just plain boring.

I'm with LoVer on this, our team just played a match last night on Sunstar against Exica, it was actually pretty exciting ended up being 6-4. It's refreshing to play something other than Arx, DD, and Xfire. That's all anyone wants to play these days. No reason at all to remove Sunstar from the rotation, if both teams agree not to play it then that's their business.
