But only after his re-election. I told you so. Homeboy is just politicking for the sake of his campaign.
According to ongoing discussions with Obama aides and associates, if the president wins a second term, he plans to tackle another American war that has so far been successful only in perpetuating more misery: the four decades of The Drug War.
Don't expect miracles. There is very little the president can do by himself. And pot-smokers shouldn't expect the president to come out in favor of legalizing marijuana. But from his days as a state senator in Illinois, Obama has considered the Drug War to be a failure, a conflict that has exacerbated the problem of drug abuse, devastated entire communities, changed policing practices for the worse, and has led to a generation of young children, disproportionately black and minority, to grow up in dislocated homes, or in none at all.
Since you like to quote polls, mind explaining why almost every demographic (except blacks) has been in a signification decline for months, especially independents? Your map was very amusing.
Owebama got a bump from the SCOTUS decision (that will fade rapidly), but he is begging for RICH people to fill his coffers. Where as nearly $5 million poured into Robomney's coffers within 24 hours of that decision.

Sure, as soon as you cite some sources and show that it's actually happening. Every poll I've seen recently shows Obama with significant leads among Blacks, Hispanics, and women. Independents are split, as they usually are up until the debates and actual election.

Obama got a bump from SCOTUS, killing Osama, seasonally falling gas prices, when the religious right made asses of themselves over women's rights, and a whole bunch of other times. He'll also get a bump from the crazy weather we've been getting since Republicans still insist that climate change isn't real, and then another bump for every debate they have where Obama will make Romney look worse and worse. No shit the Republicans are raising a ton of cash, they're desperate. It won't do them any good though, Obama still has more than double what Romney does in terms of campaign funds.

Obama has it locked! Why would he want all the stoners to come out and vote? Why would he give millions of illegals virtual citizenship? Why would he support homosexuals now, when he could have all his political career? Why does he need George Clooney going to Europe to raise money for him? Next up should be a gig on Saturday Night live where he plays a monkey named George.
As usual, you have no substance to back up your claims and conversely, my rebuttals are devastatingly true.
To wit (Jun 2012):
PRINCETON, NJ -- Gallup Daily tracking indicates Barack Obama is receiving less support in the 2012 presidential election from some of the white subgroups that gave him the strongest support in 2008. These include non-Hispanic white registered voters who are 18 to 29 years old, female postgrads, and the nonreligious, among others.
Obama won the 2008 election comfortably over John McCain, but the 2012 election contest with Mitt Romney is shaping up to be more competitive, with the two statistically tied since Gallup started Daily tracking on the race in April. These findings partly explain why.
For this analysis, Gallup has compared Obama's current support among registered voters, based on Gallup Daily tracking from May 21-June 10 with 7,343 registered voters, to his support among registered voters in Gallup's last month of interviewing in the 2008 pre-election poll, from Oct. 1-Nov. 2, comprising 30,623 registered voters.
Obama Down Five Percentage Points Among All Voters
The 46% of registered voters supporting Obama today is five percentage points below the 51% supporting him in final weeks of the 2008 election campaign. Similarly, whites' support for Obama is six points lower than it was in October/November 2008 (38% vs. 44%), and blacks' is down four points (87% vs. 91%). At the same time, Hispanics' support, at 67%, is essentially unchanged.
Whites make up about three-quarters of all U.S. registered voters, and are therefore the most important racial or ethnic group in any election, at least mathematically. Even if Obama were to regain his 2008 level of support among blacks and improve his support somewhat among Hispanics, he could still lose if his support among whites slips any further. By the same token, even a slight increase in whites' support could secure his re-election.
Obama Support Slips Among White Postgrads of Both Genders
Obama still enjoys higher support from white women than white men, as he did in 2008; however, his support from both groups has declined. Now, 34% of white men and 41% of white women support him, while the plurality or majority of both groups support Romney.
Beyond the overall gender breaks, support for Obama was particularly high among white men and women with postgraduate levels of education in 2008, and remains so today. But support for Obama in 2012 is down among all four gender/education groups, and is down the most -- by nine points -- among postgraduate women, followed by non-postgraduate men (eight points).
No shit sherlock. All that stuff you listed is part of his re-election campaign and much of the reason he is currently winning. I'm glad neither of you are letting facts get in your way though. It will be way more satisfying to hear you guys whine when Romney gets spanked.
That's one poll from nearly a month ago. It's outdated and worthless now. Not only that, but his support among Hispanics went up. Did you even read your own link?
And concerning women:
A simple google search for "Obama women poll" yielded this
Right, Obama having a huge lead against Romney doesn't mean anything because one gallup poll showed Obama lose some support among women before another poll showed that he gained. You're right, Romney has this in the bag even though he's getting his ass handed to him ATM.

So minorities are too fucking stupid to follow the laws. So we should cater to their ignorance and stupidity? No wonder this country is going down the toilet. Black people can't even take responsibility for their own actions. Its white laws that are making it hard on them
I'm all for legalizing weed but minorities need to learn the concept of personal responsibility. _______________________________________________________________

It's good not to get hopes up too much. Political realities can limit efforts at reform. The safer way are the easiest ways: drug prevention programs, drug sentencing reform, money and resources for enforcement and lofty rhetoric are likely possibilities.

But hey carry that water and keep drinking that kool-aid. You've been humiliated and cant even recognize it.
They're motivating the base because they expect to lose. Not to save it, but to give those groups a placebo of a handjob to keep them loyal and energized for the next election. So Obama isn't worried about alienating the mainstream and losing the election. He's already lost them. He's campaigning for the party and whoever runs for the Democrats in 2016 Post edited by Stryk at 7/2/2012 10:42:22 PM
cant believe people are actually arguing over the Goldman Sachs auction for the seat of the US president like there is some huge differences between either Romney or Obama.
but hey, when you own the press, you can make a shit sammich look pretty damn good and get the people to argue over what goes best with shit.

No shit........it's almost like we still believe our pandering POLITICIANS to stick to their word and do what the fuck they said.
It's a cult like, sycophantic, sickness that I just don't really understand.
