First off, Heat/Lakers finals would be a ratings goldmine for the NBA on so many levels. Second, the Lakers have certainly upgraded their team. The Heat did also. Lakers got a guy who still averages almost a double in assists every night. Nash will also make the other guys better because he will get them involved. They are old but Kobe is a freak of nature and still was in the top 3 in scoring last year.
As far as Allen, his job will be to hit 3's. WE ALL SAW what happened to OKC when the Heat got a few guys to contribute and make some 3's from outside. Now the Heat will have that every fucking night. That means that teams will not be able to double up and clog the paint because someone will have to account for Allen. Allen already would be the 4th top in PPG for the Heat when he signs. Only LB, Wade and Bosh are in DD in scoring, Allen would be the fourth. He is a perfect fit for the Heat. He will get about 25 minutes or so a game and will be a great addition to the Heat.
There are quite a few guys in their mid 30's still playing at a high level. Allen was hurt in the playoffs and still has a few years left IMO. Sorry but the Heat will be in the finals again as long as they stay healthy.
You're blinded by being a fan of the Heat. Will the Heat be in the finals next season, likely, will the Lakers? No way, i'm sorry but picking up who will be a 39 year old Steve Nash & thinking they have gotten better is just stupid. Ok, maybe just a bit better, but better then OKC? Not even close.
Nobody is saying that the Heat/Lakers wouldn't be great ratings, it's just not likely to happen.

Im confused, you tell me Im blinded for being a Heat fan but you are agreeing with what I said about the Heat being in the finals again.
As far as the Lakers, they are a better team and you never know what will happen. The season is months away. Knowing the Lakers, they are not done making moves. They will try to get better because Kobe has only a few years left.
I would not be surprised if are in the finals.

you're right. What i mean is you keep mentioning the Lakers. I'm sorry i just don't see them as a real contender in the west. I don't think they are even in the top 2 in the west. There are so many young teams in the west ready to explode. I'm not sure if they will even be the best team in the Staples Center anymore.

I get what you are saying but as long as Kobe is a Laker I think they have a shot. And as far as the Clippers who I know you are refering to, Im not sure if CP will be there in a few years and Chauncy is a year younger than Ray Allen.

While I have a blind hatred of Lebron, I found myself not caring as much the last couple of seasons about NBA in general. I still have a general care and hope the bulls win and follow it, but the same goes for Baseball and the white sox, even though I've watched maybe an hour or 2 total for this season. It's deep rooted in me to pay attention and care, but I find myself bored when I watch either sport.
Only 2 sports I truly give a fuck about these days are NFL and UFC. I have too much to do to watch boring sports. And the NBA has changed the rules some teamwork isn't as important and the final minute can last a half-hour. the 1st 3 quarters are pointless. The bulls were up by over 30 2 years ago in the 3rd and lost. And while they fucked up, the rules helped to allow that.
I would watch college basketball, but I don't really have a team to root for.

I understand what you are saying. My Dolphins and Hurricanes suck balls so all I have to look forward to is watching the Heat roll teams on a nightly basis.
Im sure if the Heat were not that good I would not be talking about them as much. Still, it is exciting because its been a while since South Florida has had a dominate sports franchise year in and year out.

Even if they won the championship, I wouldn't watch many games, that's what I'm saying. I didn't watch the playoff game rose got hurt in, I didn't watch many games of the Blackhawks winning the cup either. That's what I'm saying.

LOL, come on Burn, what the Heat did was pretty amazing. I was even amazed at it. They fucking rolled the Thunder. You think the Bulls would have been able to handle a healthy Heat team? The only reason they went so many games with the Pacers and the C's was because Bosh got hurt.
I think the way the Heat were playing, they would have shut down the bulls other players and Rose would have been the only scorer and lost just like last year. Hell, the Bulls IMO are fucked next year too. Heat will go back to the finals if healthy.

Stones, Wade has had many injuries. I have said on here that he is somewhat injury prone. The difference is Rose really busted his knee up after several other injuries he had to deal with all season long. Rose tore his ACL which Wade has never done to my recollection and also, Rose is out till next spring from what I have read. That means he will miss half of the NBA season since the season starts in October. Wade had surgery the other day that I read lasted 20 minutes and he will be out of commission for 8weeks. Thats nothing.
