I was looking for a much smaller place for some time near where I work, unfortunately those places that meet my expectations all had extremely poor parking conditions. After the winter before last, I had more sense than to go through parking drama when the snow hits.
If they can get their small apartment plan together with appropriate parking space, I think they'd find plenty of people willing to downsize their space to something more efficient.
Town zoning effectively eliminates small and efficient housing in many areas, instead promoting a certain minimum square footage of heated floor space, essentially setting a lower limit for efficiency and size. I think this is bullshit in many cases, but then again, I'm free to move to another town, so I'm not in an uproar over things that I'm free to avoid by my own mobility.

when I got it it was like this, I removed the bayonet and that funky scout rifle scope, added a red dot sight but it turned out to be so accurate I put the scope on it to see just how accurate it will be, then I have a multi reticle red dot sight to go on it. I also got 6 30 round mags and about 800 rounds of good russkie silver bear hollow point ammo it shoots nice and is loads of fun

I made these steel targets, 6"x6", we set them on sawhorses at different ranges and several of us shoot a friendly competition every other weekend. Just picked up some more 1/4" steel plate, I think I'm going to make silhouettes out of it for longer ranges. This would be hard to do if I lived in a "walkable" area and had no vehicle, I wouldnt give this stuff up for all of NYC

Very nice Killett. I took both my LMT 308 and Ar15 out this weekend. Shot the shit out of em. I'm gonna look at the sks as a potential. I'm not a huge fan of the 7.62 cartridge but would like to add one. I am trying to track down a 357 lever rifle(marlin) before Cerebus bought them

That LMT must be nice, I would love to have one in 308 too
I was looking for something reasonably accurate to 100 yrds and cheap to shoot, made a trade for the sks and have been pretty happy with it. As much as I would like to have something like a 45 colt they are just too expensive to go out and shoot 200-300 rounds once or twice a month. I'm sticking with the 9mm for my main handgun altho I'm really liking the taurus 38 spl lightweight revolver I picked up. At first it shot a little off but now that Ive run 600-700 rounds thru it its turning into a nice shooter and its compact and light weight and its stainless steel. Got it for 300 out the door so it didnt break the bank
