so this entire, "you are only you, because of the govt" has got me thinking like im sure it got a few of you thinking. a few years ago i used to say the progressives were going to do everything they can to remove this line in the United States Declaration of Independence and use it against us and now i see how its going to be done.
as i have been saying for quite some time now, the Neo-Libs HATE, with a passion, this line in the United States Declaration of Independence and would do everything in their power to get it removed or changed:
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights...
Endowed by their Creator puts the belief in a higher power over that of the state, something we see and hear being removed frequently by neo-libs across this country, as we recently just saw Obama leave it out.

Every individual can declare his/her own personal John Galt Day. Isn’t everyone basically "in business" for themselves? Aren’t you? Isn’t "the individual the smallest minority"? (Ayn Rand). So, as a "minority business owner, I’m closed in honor of John Galt Day!"

I'll be brutally honest: being poor is a waste of my life. I work for my family and while I generally do not mind providing a helping hand up but absolutely hate the idea of financing a way of life. The entitlement mentality being fostered by the Left disgusts me to no end and you can see how much of it has taken hold by some of the garbage posted here... as if we should accept this as some kind of new value instead of instilling pride in a good day's work.
I could rant on even more, but thats the gist of it.
O yeah, one other thing: I sacrificed for 20 years (as all veterans do) and it never ceases to amaze me how these young ideologues have the audacity to expect more from others while generally unwilling to do so themselves. While not a huge fan of religion, at least they give way more time and money than those cheap fuckers on the left, just like that fuckin commercial by Jill Biden talking about giving more for the poor and hungry when her and her dirtbag hubby didnt give shit to charity as evidenced by their tax returns.
Living through example, not as you try to dictate, isn't their strongest suit.
It amazes me many people, especially politicians, who pretend to be the most sympathetic and emphatic to the plight of the poor often donate the very least amount of THEIR money and personal time toward the very causes that they are allegedly crusading for.

Face it, the attitudes in this country have changed. The old ideals of being proud to earn your way thru life have given way to being happy to work the system for as much as you can get. It's not likely to change and the country is in decline at a rapid rate. The current politicians are more than happy to perpetuate this no matter what they say. It's the new America comrade, embrace it, get in the freebie line and get yours while there is still some left!
Living through example, not as you try to dictate, isn't their strongest suit.
