One reason people believe that Mitt went to London was to try to highlight his management of the SLC winter games. It seems to me--and probably to David Cameron and Boris Johnson as well--that Mitt said he was "disconcerted" to try to make it clear to all that he is an expert on how Olympics can be run and also imply that if he were running the London Games that maybe any problems that the planners are facing wouldn't be happening.
It was a comment that was made in campaign mode but that didn't appreciate the fact that it might be insulting to the British government. Predictably, Cameron and Johnson bristled at any implication that they are screwing things up.
This is the kind of mistake that a person who runs on the argument that he has the ability to run a better foreign policy shouldn't be making. It is not a big deal at all in my opinion. The current administration has made their share of mistakes as well. But as Romney seeks to enhance the perception of his foreign policy acumen, this is an unfortunate setback that undercuts his narrative.

The only thing Owebama is leading in is his use of "I" in his speeches.
Speaking in Sandusky, Ohio on July 5, President Barack Obama used the first-person pronouns I and me a combined 117 times in a speech that lasted about 25 minutes and 32 seconds.
Obama used I 98 times and me 19 times, according to a transcript of the speech posted by the White House. A videotape of the speech posted on YouTube shows that Obama spoke for about 25-and-a-half minutes.
What happened to the collective thought of the Left? Dont see too many "we" in there. Owebama sounds as narcissistic (if not more) than our resident Village Idiot, Malaria.
Wait, MAYBE he wants to showcase how hard he has worked for you in between 100+ rounds of golf around the great 57 States, speaking the language of business, Austrian, for shovel ready jobs at Solyndra and other successful gvt investments like GM that is obviously reducing the National Debt.
Of course he built it all. amirite?
Anyway, it's amusing WTS hasnt returned to this thread to defend those thoughtful and expensive gifts given by our First Couple to the Brits.

Every article I read says this was a trip meant to burnish Mittens' foreign policy credentials or some shit like that, because it was generally considered a weakness of his, so he was going to spend seven days and tidy that all up.
I'm not understanding what exactly Mittens was going to do in seven days that would fix everything. Even if he had managed to not piss off the city of London.
