Why does CBS feel the need to include this man's dishonorable service as the headline? He was thrown out in 1998... 14 years ago. Relevance?
I find it disgusting they are quick to include his 'service record' and brand him a "terrorist" while that fuckin' asshole Major Nidal Hassan hasn't been branded as one for his 'workplace violence' murders at Fort Hood.

I have a list of websites I peruse in the morning before I go to work. It usually goes:
1. USA Today
2. Rennlist forums
3. Luxury4Play forums
4. Xtube (gotta rub one out before I start the day)
5. TWL
6. Zoklet's "bad ideas" forum (some seriously fucked up individuals in that forum)
7. Then, I wrap it up by Googling or Wikipedia'ing any interesting things I found earlier.
Based on the entertainment factor in this thread alone, I'm bumping TWL up a notch. It's now ahead of Xtube and me flogging my weiner in the mornings! Don't you all feel special now?

NBF: Military isn't for everyone and I wouldn't begrudge him his opinion. I will part with saying that a Soldier's opinion of their Service largely relies on the leadership he (or she) had at the time. Just remember that the military is a microcosm of the society that provides raw material.

You can also be proud of your unit, proud of your fellow brothers in arms, while utterly disgusted at the leadership you are serving, the mission are you being told to uphold, and the government you allegedly work for.
The military, much like life, is such a mixed bag.
It is amazing how diverse veterans opinions can be. Most of them are so very proud of their time in service, as an individualistic and collective achievement, but agree very little on anything else.

Do you think "like" and "believe in" are the same? I agree with your point, but feel most military folks still believe in what they do. My cousin who is a CO of a naval group will tell you hates some of the supply chain BS and a whole other laundry list of shit. But that he still believes in the mission and what they are doing.
