I agree......I say if we are going to create inflation and monetize the debt it is better to try to pay the people off who paid into SS than it is to bail out banks, FHA, and the post office for the next several centuries.

Austerity measures are always painful........hence the reason Europe is in such a fucking mess. We can now hit a target anywhere around the world within 1 hour with a missile. That is impressive, but I think Paul doesn't understand the limited use of such a weapon. I agree with him in part that many bases could be closed, but he's a dipshit for saying all those bases should be closed. The reason is wether we like it our not, our nation needs to be in position to prevent threats to our partners. I was just thinking about something which I'm sure you don't give a shit about. When we pull all our bases and funding around the world, do you thing poor nations are going to look at us like we are kind people? Don't you think that will drive resentment towards our Nation? People say our policy is arrogant, what kind of policy is it when you are a wealthy country and you don't help others? That is something that will have to be weened as well. I don't see how he can cut all types of aid and not get some kind of blowback. Of course many of those country's won't be able to do shit about it, but they will form an anit American alliance. How does he plan on doing business with those country's?
Last but not least, Paul is not going to be President forever. I assume all the policies he wants to institute will last for about 4 years and we will get a new Democrat or Republican who will run on bringing those programs back. My question to you would be, why waste our vote on a one time deal? Seems like a monumental waste of money, something even Paul knows we are in short supply of.
