Natty BOH HON!
Beer from Baltimore City. They brewed it here back in the day but now it's brewed elsewhere. It's still a Baltimore Beer, it's $6 a 12 pack and it'll get ya drunk. BOH is one of the symbols for Baltimore, he is everywhere. Recently Natty Boh got married to the Salie Utz in Baltimore City, after a 4 year engagement. It was a magical time.

You ever try 90 or 120 minute?
I have never had the 120 minute......it's impossible to find out here and super expensive.

Can we not quote pics to reduce scrolling?
I'll be drinking this one in a few minutes (my label says 90% abv):
Not my pic.
I'm picking up a different beer every time I go shopping.
Was given this rum the other night in a gift pack, which has 2 cans of "Ginger Beer"... as I read the ingredients label, it says "NON ALCOHOLIC SODA" - I am disappoint. Oh well, hopefully the rum is good. For another night...

I have a buddy who work for that brewery......I've also had mixed reactions to a lot of their stuff.
I love their "Wilco Tango Foxtrot" (WTF ).....and their Hop Stoopid.....oh and the "Little Sumptin"
This is magic (for an IPA) if you can get it fresh enough. This thing ages like milk though......more than a month old and it turns into a massive malt bomb. Post edited by Mockery at 1/28/2012 1:17:36 AM

Nice try, but it's their quad, not the blond, that's the best beer.

The ginger beer is to be mixed with the rum. Ever hear of a dark n stormy? It's one of my favorite drinks. Whoever gave that to you has good taste. The rum is pretty good for the price range that it's in and is perfect for dark n stormy's. Post edited by William T. Sherman at 1/28/2012 1:31:21 PM

mockery, texted my friend with the chocolate stout recommendation. he confirmed he used to drink Young's and also Rogue. he said he likes them best mixed with an oatmeal stout. Also likes cappucino stouts. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The right is more virtuous than the left. They have twice as many virtues because they have double the standards.

There's a restaurant bar in Manhattan that me and my friends like to call "beer heaven." Their Sunday brunch special is $20 for a meal and unlimited American draft beers. They have a massive selection that's pretty well curated and different from week to week. All kinds of ales, white wheat beers, dunkelweizens, lagers, and whatever is in season. There's a 90 minute limit on the special, but most of the girls there are pretty cool with letting you stay longer. One time we were there for five hours just drinking and tasting all the beers.

Does American draft beers mean any beer brewed in America? Or does it just mean your standard Bud, Coors etc.?

Beers brewed in America. Bud and coors aren't even on the menu, it's all micro brews. Post edited by William T. Sherman at 1/28/2012 5:16:17 PM

There's also this German beer hall in Brooklyn that I really like. They serve liter steins of various German and Belgian imports and have a sausage grill with a huge menu and like six different kinds of mustard.

And here is the brunch spots site. Their beer menu in on the right. I doubt it's accurate since they rotate the menu on a weekly basis, but it'll give you a good idea of the type of beers they serve.

I can't recommend both places enough to any beer lovers that happen to come to NYC. There's also a Czech beer garden in Astoria, Queens that's supposed to be pretty great, but I've never been there myself.
