LOL there is a difference between work and play slappy. This guy is on a softball team worrying about what some other guy does. He is not his friend, he is just a teammate on a fucking softball team. no shit, thats exactly the point. he is defrauding the company and the issue needs to be reported to HR. then HR can figure out what needs to be done.
its no different than if you saw someone stealing computers from work. it is everybody's business
edit: if the guy is working for a different company, then I wouldn't say you have as much of an obligation to report it, but it would still be in the direction of goodness

A couple years ago I remember talking to a co-worker about filing my taxes, what we were getting back, etc. We were college kids and a couple grand had us tickled pink - that was enough for a spring break trip and a shitload of booze. Another co-worker overhears it, interrupts with a big smile on his face and tells us how he's getting 3x the return we were... Then he goes on to tell us why - He's Mexican, and got a hold of Social Security cards from two kids who had moved back to Mexico with their parents and wouldn't be claimed as dependents in the United States. So, this 20 year old kid was claiming a 13 year old and 9 year old as dependents. Never heard anymore about it, assumed it worked just fine for him.
That was the one time in my life I wanted to really fuck someone over and report what they were up to.

No, it isn't but I understand where people get that idea. There's beer leagues that are just for fun and there's competitive leagues with rosters full of athletes. And softball is a game that can still be played after guys have gotten to middle age and put on a bunch of weight.
Look up Johnny McCraw. One of the best slow pitch players in the country, he's older and he's heavy, but he absolutely destroys the ball.

your other thread about softball, you mentioned a coach. And I played optimist Soccer and Baseball when I was growing up in North Miami Beach. I also played on an Adult A-B inline Hockey league in Weston Fl. Used to play 5-6 times a week, I was such a rink-rat I was also a coach and a ref for inline Hockey too. that shit led me to drinking 
Played every sport, Hockey is by far the hardest to master.
Softball is exactly that......softball.
