I think being poor leads to obesity in this country. People are also too fucking lazy to chop a vegetable and make a salad.
Poor and/or lazy, that's pretty much it, but mostly lazy.

In my country poor people would buy a kilo of string beans and potatoes at the local market, boil and eat that if they want to save money.
