You decided to go back to school and create yourself some debt. Now you want Obama to bail you out?
Basically you want my tax money to pay for your loans. I didn't encourage you to go to college. I fucking hate you.
I know your post was likely in jest but man up, get a better job, or a part time job, and pay your own student loans off.

I bought a house that was too big for me to afford at my current interest rates...........I had too many kids that are hungry...........etc, etc..........
All the government is anymore is a way for one inefficient person to become subsidized by another persons tax money.
Until that changes.......any level of self accountability for your own individual actions goes right out the fucking window.

Funny you say that, because I just spoke with someone today who said he was notified his company made a mistake and wasn't matching (at 1/2) his 401k contribution for a little over a month. The company blamed it on "human error" and had to notify everyone and their mother about it.

well, that's a clerical mistake, if we believe their story, they ought to correct it, fine
but what they dont tell you...or do, but people dont read the fine print...fucking idiots...what pple dont realize, I should say, is that some matchings are invested 100% in the same company's stock...which is fine if it is a performer. In others, they have borrowed against the money you have there (!), so the money isnt really there for you. If the company goes kaput, like the ones Pillbug listed, most prolly they will give u cents on the dollars, IF anything.
when considering company matching, it's like a woman offering you something for free....think about what you are giving up that she is not telling you, cuz there is always a catch. At best, the catch is that u cant touch that money until u r older than dirt, or pay heavy fines, or even paying fines, you'd have to wait a set number of seniority years to access it.
At least that's how it was when I was "IN". I havent been since 2007. _____________________________

I've seen that happen twice. There's one local company in Lockport that did it intentionally. Then they tried to "buy" their employees silence and they got busted for both.

I thought it was interesting how it coincided with the end of the first quarter with a company whose leadership has been openly questioned and whose stock had taken a tumble.
I would not put it past them to do whatever they needed to in order to meet their forecast.

This is a case where you and I differ.

not a dime. I went a different route, i paid off all debt. I have no mortgage, no car payments, no credit cards, no 401Ks. I do have a military pension I can collect at 56. Now we are working on my Kids college debts. once we are all debt free, I will consider savings and retirement accounts. Can't see saving when debt is costing so much in interest.

I still owe a good bit to the IRS. They are mother fuckers to deal with. Have you ever tried calling them? You have to hold for about an hour every time.
