Natural Selection is supposed to take care of that.
Unfortunately it doesn't happen fast enough Not our problem. If 7-11 wants to sell me and I want to buy a 64oz Slurpee, that shouldn't be a problem. As long as the people aren't picking up the healthcare costs of my ass. And I sure as fuck shouldn't be stopped because of the fat fucks running around all the time drinking them all while downing a deep-fried Twinkie every hour.
The correct response to people getting fat is dealing with the healthcare system. And I'm OK with letting people die who can't afford the healthcare system because I certainly don't want to pay into socialist money grab-bag and have it pay out to people who can't control their food intake or choose not to exercise. We are responsible for ourselves. The government shouldn't be banning this. this means we're a step away from having chips or even salt banned, because retards don't have self-control. Let them learn that the government won't be paying their medical bills and hospitals will be denying them service if they can't pay and they'll take a much healthier stance...or retards will die off and make the world a better place. And to be clear, I'm not knocking fat people. you want to be fat, enjoy, just don't ask me to chip in on your medical bills. So with that, 7-11 should be able to sell a combo of 64oz drinks with a burrito and a side of deep-fried macaroni if they want to. It's up to me to have decide to indulge or not.
God this bill is fucking stupid and so are most people.
Well said, Andural.

How much oil is wasted on those giant plastic 32oz. drink cups and plastic bottles? How much energy is expended creating paper cups that also hold those quantities?
Wake up, stupid people! This is about the fact that Peak Oil happened 20 years ago, and the government is just trying to prolong the illusion that we have no problems.

That just brought a tear to my eye........well played, Mack, well played!!!

What's stupid is you think that you don't help pay for these peoples hospital bills when they are sick & need help.
They will & they do get treated. & if they can't pay for it, guess who does. The ER can't refuse people from treatment. Who do you think pays for all those bills when they don't get paid?
You're already paying to help treat people who can't afford to go to the doctor.

It seems to me that socializing the medical system is the problem. If you don't do that, then people are actually responsible for their own health and will reap what they sow, so to speak. Let natural selection work! Keep the government out of our lives!

Half right which makes you ALL WRONG!!!
If you can't get 32 ounces of soda you have to buy 2 x 16 ounce bottles. That's more plastic - two caps, twice the packaging, twice the manufacturing.
Because Peak Oil will drive up the prices and create more government control they are forcing you to consume petroleum faster so that Peak Oil has even greater effect ( bigger than $4 a gallon for gas ... uh oh), and then they can come in and start rationing, price fixing, taxing.
Simply repeating an issue, and one that will happen (fossil fuel is a fixed supply and there is unlimited demand), is not enough. When you want to try and be funny and make it sound like a kooky conspiracy you have to add logical consequences that would come about in an illogical way. You can also have illogical consequences that come about in an illogical way.

Sorry that the majority of this country can't walk & talk at the same time, let alone know how to take care of themselves properly. If they can't & it's rather obvious they can't, then someone needs to.

IMO they would be better served with a 25 cent bottle return on all soda, water, and beer cans/bottles if they're going to try anything.

Jones Soda. Not sure if you'd consider it a "major" brand though.

Yeah... Pepsi has it's "Throwback" line of soft drinks.
http://consumerist.com/2010/10/pepsi-throwback-is-here-to-stay-for-now.html
While Coke swears there is no difference in taste between Coke made with High Fructose Corn Syrup and Coke made with cane sugar, Pepsi continues to give credence to the opposite side of that argument. The beverage company has announced that plans to sell its sugar-sweetened Pepsi Throwback and Mountain Dew Throwback sodas as long as people buy them.
"We've put it back in the market and we'll see where it goes," the PepsiCo CFO told reporters last week about Pepsi Throwback.

And even that article doesn't do it justice... Pepsi has announced since the article that they're become permanent additions to the Pepsi and Mountain Dew product lines as well re-formulating Sierra Mist from high fructose corn syrup to sugar.
