President Barack Obama has asserted executive privilege in response to requests made by Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.), chairman of the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, who has embarked on a controversial investigation into the Department of Justice's Operation Fast and Furious gun-walking program.
The invocation of executive privilege allows the president to defy requests and subpoenas by members of the legislative and judicial branches for information the White House deems sensitive. Obama's decision will allow him to refuse to provide certain documents pertaining to the Fast and Furious program.

Attorney General Eric Holder, who met with Issa Tuesday in an attempt to reach an agreement on how many and which documents related to Fast and Furious he would turn over, had formally written Obama requesting that he exercise executive privilege.

The other week, Holder was in a Congressional hearing and was read an email from one of his subordinates that directly mentioned guns crossing the Mexican border and used the phrase "fast and furious." Holder made the outrageous claim that the email was not about "fast and furious".

This one really would have fucked them and they know it.
Most of us realize that we live in a singular event, overly reactionary, society.
One where all it takes is one shoe bomber to make everyone take off their shoes (forever), one where one guy mixing fluids bans more than 3 oz of fluid (forever), one where a single perpetrator, wearing an underwear bomb, can force everyone to walk through back scatter machines on a daily basis.
They knew that if they could circumvent current gun purchasing standards, illegally get guns to the cartel, that they would be able to use that as "future" fuel to impose stricter gun control back at home in America.
This isn't a conspiracy theory, it's all but a fact. Especially if you listened to the likes of Hilary Clinton, Pelosi, and Eric Holder before this "Fast and the Furious" debacle unfolded.
Eric Holder has been an advocate of such "wag the gun" policies for decades now and I wouldn't be surprised if that wasn't a major reason behind why he got his position at the DOJ.
And now that it's been exposed, for what it is, an Executive Privilege has been implemented forever curtailing transparency, accountability, for an illegal and illicit arms trade, with the cartel of another country, that never should have happened.
Oliver North should be pretty fucking pissed off right about now. Transparency my asshole, just more of the same (and perhaps even worse).

Snake loves the State. It only makes sense that he loves Bush and Lincoln too. The curious part is why he doesn't like Obama. It's either the party that he's in or the color of his skin or both as there are no major differences outside of those two between any of the three Presidents.
