Wow.......just wow.

This is why reactionary retards shouldn't be allowed to rule our country and when they do......bad things usually happen.

Snake will be the first neocon in here circle jerking Bill saying he "supports" the 2nd Amendment with such idiocy.

It also amazes me that Bill can yell the term 60,000 rounds so many times when his numbers don't match reality.

60,000 != 6,000

http://www.nytimes.com/2012/07/24/opinion/6000-bullets-in-colorado.html

This just proves the Fox News mantra of if you say something outright fabricated or facetious enough times.......even you will eventually believe it to be true.

What's the point in a right to bear arms, when lets pretend, your enemy is a hostile government that you have to report said arms too?

Exactly......

There isn't one.

That's why it is so scary to watch these people advocate a government who can inspect your every movement, at any time and can indefinitely detain you without cause, or even a trial.

"A government big enough to give you everything you need, is a government big enough to take away everything that you have...."

Blind, unwavering, unconditional faith in any centralized power is always going to be ripe for abuse.

Mockery is being a typical paultard. Absolutes don't exist kiddo. Bill is wrong about this. I usually agree with him. He also doesn't understand the AR15 is not a machine gun or automatic rifle.

Carry on

The discussion is moot.

Are we suppose to believe someone planning for months to commit a mass murder is going to restrict themselves to legal channels?

SIXTY THOUSAND ROUNDS SNAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SIXTY THOUSAND ROUNDS.............

He doesn't get it and his excessive fear of "terrorism" and "foreign" born boogeymen is quintessential to the right wing dogma that is undermining liberty in this country.

If only we could further monitor peoples lives, their activities on the internet, and invoke more government intervention it clearly could.

You mean a bad event takes place and in response, a prominent conservative calls for more government?

How shocking!!

They are both pandering toward their bases.

http://nymag.com/daily/intel/2012/07/obama-takes-stronger-stance-on-gun-control.html

Obama is talking about how their should be more gun control.......even though he has signed legislation that did the opposite.

And Romney is talking about how what we have is sufficient for now...........even though he signed legislation that promptly curved/restricted gun ownership in his home state.

It is an election year.....

Examples in this thread.......

With that said, he is still no gun ally.

Nor is he an advocate of American sovereignty.

He appears more than happy to let foreigners not just control our government, but also dictate/interpret our Constitution to us.

You mean the examples that where all but two were state level actions and one of those two left is something passed by the republicans in the house and stalled by the democrats in the senate? Leaving one sign off of gun use in national parks, which has negligible impact on anyone but the few handfuls of people who live in those parks.

Obama and the Democrats don't call themselves advocates of limited or "small" government.

Yep........the one where he signed laws that allowed guns to enter "more" Federally managed/controlled places. The ones where he allowed "more" concealed weapon owners to keep their guns on them.

Those are the opposite of the direction he said he would go........they are the opposite of what we expected.

It's not like he is a champion for gun rights, or ownership, as much as he has left them the fuck alone. If only Romney could have learned to do the same when he was Gov. of MA.

But, heh, it's an election year.

Only in an election year can a guy who didn't pass any anti-gun legislation get a lower rating on guns than a guy who passed a permanent AWB, supports an advanced Brady Bill, and quadrupled gun licensing costs be considered the better of the two on the 2nd Amendment.
