So what have you been up to in these times of TWL transition?

Have you been binging on TV shows? Isolated in the woods waiting for TWL to stably come back?

Recovering from the Sounders' unfortunate elimination.

Same here man... that match was a heartbreaking rollercoaster. I think my sports emotions are still broken.

I'd love to say I've been productive but there's too much porn to watch.

Jessica Jones is my latest binge. 1/2 way through the season. David Tennant is great as Kilgrave.

There's a lot of great stuff on TV now.
A few shows just went into their midseason break. Gotham is great, seems to get better every week. The Last Kingdom turned out pretty good. Fargo is strong in the 2nd season. Waiting for more Vikings and Black Sails. GoT impatiently as always.

Funny thing... The Last Kingdom, from BBC, uses real chainmaille; Vikings, from the History Channel, uses a lot of spray-painted knitting. (My gf does both along with leatherworking, can pick it out very easily, as well as "that ____ weave shouldn't have traveled there by that time" stuff).

I've been watching Scorpion and I have seen some of the Black Sails. Otherwise, I watch all the NFL games each week.

The Man in the High Castle. The acting is okay, but the show is pretty good.

I'm all in on Black Sails! Excellent casting and dialogue, superior filming... I should've been a pirate.

Past that, I've been traveling for work a lot and playing some Eve Online in between when I need a gaming fix.

Started my own IT Consulting company 2 years ago. Should have done it much sooner...there is nothing better than being your own boss.

Word... I left the fire service and took over my family's logistics company after my dad passed away. Best. Decision. Ever. Though, my boss is a real jerk now. :p

Funny how that works, isn't it. There are times its a bit stressful (like when it gets slow). But I'm paying the bills so its all good. Biggest thing that helped us was my wife going back to work for a large CPA firm. I was paying the health insurance out of my company and at $1400 a month is was killing me. It was set to go to $2000 this year. Obamacare my ass.

Affordable Healthcare for everyone! I know people who make less than $20,000/yr that don't qualify for Obamacare... that's horse crap. Worst bill to ever be enacted by Congress in the history of our country. There's nothing affordable about it. You hit the nail on the head otherwise though. It's a little stressful when things are slow because it's all on you, but man, working from home and making my own hours and not having deadlines or someone to report to are amazing.

I retired from TWL in 2012 IIRC. Since then I bought a new house, started a new job with a fantastic company, and have been spending my free time riding my motorcycle and teaching my kid how to ride. Got him his first bike for his birthday (turned 6) and he's been getting better every time we go out. He'll probably outgrow this bike by next summer.

Havent been playing too many games, but in the winter when its cold out I do a lot more gaming. Right now Im digging Fallout 4, SW: Battlefront, Heroes & Generals, BF4 (still), and Rocket League.

For TV, holy shit there is a ton of good shows these days. TWD, FTWD, GOT, Suits, Vikings, Shameless, The Brink, Ballers, Silicon Valley. Heard there is another season of Curb Your Enthusiasm coming in 2016.
