    MechWarrior Online™

Another one I came across. Anyone have any opinions or reviews of it?

I've been meaning to try this one for a while, but haven't gotten past the download part.

I was a huge fan of "BattleTech: Solaris" back in the day (90s).

I have been playing this game since beta, when they opened up the game to the public. It could be a good competitive platform. At least one person on each team will have to have premium time(pay money) to use the private server options for matches.
There is also no anti-cheat at all in this game outside of server side controls. Lately, I have been seeing more hacks, so it would need something more before it could be taken seriously.
There is some playing time needed before the player will unlock enough to have a good mech. Playing the trial mechs is no substitute for having your own mechs. You need to grind for money to buy the mechs(you can use real world money to bypass this part), more grinding(xp) to level the chassis and buy better parts, and finally grinding for gxp and money to get modules.
On the up side, anything from 1v1 to 12v12 is possible with private matches.

Looks like it could be some fun even if it does not end up being competitive in the end.
